I’m switching my schedule back to Tue-Sat. I’ll offer short games on Thursday nights as that’ll be my early shift: Dealer’s choice, tournament only or Hold-em only cash games.

This Friday was fun: $20 max initial buy-in .05-.10 NL cash games until the wee hours of the night. We played until 1 a.m. with me being the big winner of the night. I made $11 after being down nearly $20 and having to add on $5 at one point.

Then there was $.05-$.10 NL poker. There were 10 of us who stayed.

We drank, we ate, and we discovered that hot wings from Pizza Hut are actually pretty damn hot. I’m also surprised that nothing got spilled onto the table during the Trading Game. Check out the video Jared took during the game:

HOUSE RULES 

1. No one is allowed to play another player’s chips. If a player is unable or unwilling to play chips already purchased, he/she forfeits all of his/her remaining chips, to be split evenly among the remaining players. Odd chips are returned to the bank. 

2. Any bet, call or raise should be verbally declared before moving any chips into the pot. All verbal declarations, in turn, are binding. String bets will not be tolerated. 

3. When chips are moved into the pot it will be done in such a manner that allows other players to clearly see how many chips you are playing. “Splashing” the pot makes it difficult to tell how many chips and/or if chips of the correct value were played. 

4. At the showdown, the last player to bet or raise is the first to show their hand. The other players who still hold a live hand may show their hand or discard it without showing. In order to win the showdown, you must show both of your hole cards. Showing your hand is never required if you fold. 

5. Comments as to what effect cards on the board would have had for your hand after you’ve folded are inappropriate until the hand is over. It can provide other players with information about the possibility of receiving cards they need, or that they believe other players may need. 

6. In hands you are not involved in, comments concerning what other players may have in their hand or what actions they should take, are inappropriate. 

7. Any time a player exposes their hand to another player in the game, actively playing in the current hand or not, they must show their hand to all players (Show One, Show All). Showing your hand to people not in the current game is acceptable. 

8. It is each player’s responsibility to keep his or her cards protected and concealed during live play. If a player notices another player not properly concealing his or her cards, that player should be discretely warned. 

9. If more than one player is eliminated on the same hand, the higher placement will be awarded to the player who had the most chips at the start of the hand. 

10. “Chopping” of prize money is discouraged but allowed. However, the chop must include finishing placement. There will be no ties in finishing placement. 

11. “Rabbit Hunting” is not allowed. If you want to see the cards, pay to see ‘em. 

12. When your cards hit the muck, they stay in the muck. 

Other rules and discrepancies not covered here will be determined by the Home Poker Tourney Rulebook (based on Robert’s Rules of Poker), available at homepokertourney.com. Where there is a discrepancy between these rules and the Home Poker Tourney Rulebook, these rules shall take precedence. In the case of disputes, the Tournament Director will have final authority. If the dispute directly involves the Tournament Director, a third-party will be appointed to resolve the dispute.
